It’s not a counselling session, but a chance for you to share what you’re looking for, ask any questions about my approach, and get a sense of how I work. Just as importantly, it’s an opportunity for you to notice if you feel comfortable and supported. Finding the right therapist is an important step in your healing, and this call helps you make that decision with clarity and ease.

I’m Dana Lingelbach (she/her), a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Squamish, BC. I support adults and partners navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and the search for belonging. My work is rooted in the belief that much of our suffering comes from disconnection -from ourselves, from others, and from the places we come from. Counselling, for me, is the process of finding our way back. My work is deep, relational, and seeks to honor all of your experiences with reverence.

My approach is integrative, relational, and somatic. That means we’ll pay attention not only to your thoughts and stories, but also to your body, nervous system, and relationships. I draw from evidence-based practices - attachment theory, trauma-informed care, parts work, and mindfulness - while always tailoring therapy to your unique needs.

Before private practice, I worked in psychiatric crisis services and the disability sector, experiences that taught me how resilient people are in the face of suffering. As someone who has also walked my own path through trauma, identity, and healing, I know the courage it takes to reach out for support. I strive to offer an inclusive, anti-oppressive, and LGBTQ2S+-affirming space where you can be met with compassion, honesty, and respect. I identify as a cisgender, queer, neurodivergent therapist with lived experience of disability and grief.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll likely find me in nature, singing or dancing with friends, or building community through gatherings and ceremony. These practices remind me that healing is not just individual, it’s collective.

At its heart, my counselling practice is about helping people feel more at home in themselves and in their relationships. I am here to walk beside you.
